Christmas was spent in Poland, being constantly fed by my family. Of course I did not complain, as Polish cuisine is positively salivating stuff. Pierogi, kapusta, the different smoked hams, and meats, sausages, marinated herring, salads -

New Years was spent in San Francisco at an apartment, where we watched the fireworks (slightly obscured) from the roof top. In general it was a relaxed affair, with a late night walk down at fisherman's wharf, as the weather was still and calm, with a starry sky - a nice winter's night.
