Yea so another work week has gone, which means that I have been here for over two weeks! Anyway nothing much to report on the week, except that today was rather warm. Like I was starting to sweat cause I was wearing a t-shirt and a thin jumper!
Well as part of getting to know more people at work I went for lunch with one of the teams at a place called BJ's (yes what kind of name is that?) and had a delightful meal of pasta and caesar salad (pats belly). Just for a price comparison for all my fans, you could say that the meal was comparable in price to back home in NZ, however the portions here are much larger, thus I have to conclude that food/eating out here seems cheaper.
I also got a sim card for my mobile phone that I took from NZ. Did you know that when someone calls you here in the states on your mobile, you pay to receive it! Same for txts, pxts, you pay like 10c to receive em. However the cost of calling is like 10c a minute, so it kind of balances out! Interestingly its nice to actually have people call, rather than send txts - it gets thing sorted a lot faster! .. Another did you know: did you know that the NZ mobile phone network is a lot more advanced than it is here in the states? e.g. 3G isnt here - no body knows about video calling..

I tried to explain why Americans were so fat to some people in Japan one time -- they asked, "Do you guys just eat hamburgers all day?" It's the portion sizes.
Be careful so your stomach doesn't grow and get used to those kinds of portions.
