Well
Cinco de Mayo is a day celebrating a Mexican defeat over the French, where they were outnumbered and out gunned, but somehow came out the victors. However in these modern times, it is just an excuse to party! You don't even have to be Mexican, everyone gets in on it (a bit like St Patrick's day, you don't have to be Irish any more to celebrate it..).

So you'd be expecting me to have gone out somewhere to participate in some revelry? Well I did, just not in downtown, as apparently last year it was chaos, blocks were sectioned off, movement was hard, and someone got stabbed
:/ The year before last also included a riot - thus the idea was to stay local with a BBQ hosted by the
Pescadero four :D
Well suffice to say that it was your standard BBQ, with the addition of a fussball table (
damn those Germans are hard to beat), which meant good times
:]
